“Resist the devil [stand firm against him] and he will flee from you” by Dr Apostle Rachel Nevhutand

Jeremiah was arrested, whipped and put in jail by Pashur who was the priest in charge of the Temple. (See verse 2).

He said to himself:

“Yet, cursed be the day that I was born! Why was I ever born? For my life has been but trouble and sorrow and shame”. Jeremiah 20:14,18 TLB

Every time we are confronted with troubles, trials and hardships, the devil wants to steal, destroy and kill us. Do not worry, Jesus has come to give us life in abundance.

“So submit to [the authority of] God. Resist the devil [stand firm against him] and he will flee from you.”

James 4:7 AMP

“Be well balanced and always alert, because your enemy, the devil, roams around incessantly, like a roaring lion looking for its prey to devour. Take a decisive stand against him and resist his every attack with strong, vigorous faith. For you know that your believing brothers and sisters around the world are experiencing the same kinds of troubles you endure.”

1 Peter 5:8-9 TPT

Next time the enemy/ the devil reminds you of your failures, boldly tell him who you are:

🔸I have received Christ and He gave me the right to become a child of God

*John 1:12 *

🔸I am a new creation, all things have passed away, all things have become new

2 Corinthians: 5:17

🔸I am rescued from the power of darkness and translated into the Kingdom of His Son

Colossians 1:13-14

🔸I have been crucified with Christ, I no longer live, but Christ lives in me

Galatians 2:20

🔸I am a joint heir with Christ Romans 8:17

🔸God supplies all my needs according to His riches in glory

Philippians 4:19

🔸Christ care for me. I cast all my anxieties, all my worries, and all my concerns on Him *1 Peter 5:7 *

You are more than a conqueror

“Yet even in the midst of all these things, we triumph over them all, for God has made us to be more than conquerors, and his demonstrated love is our glorious victory over everything!”

Romans 8:37 TPT

“So cheer up! Take courage all you who love him. Wait for him to break through for you, all who trust in him!”

Psalms 31:24 TPT
