Speak to your Mountain by Dr. Rachel Nevhutanda

We find ourselves in the season of trouble and tribulations. There is too much suffering, groaning, and pain.
There is a loss of hope and confusion. There are a lot of unanswered questions in the minds of God’s people.
He knows our plight and solutions are readily available in His WORD.
God is “the Alpha and Omega, the Beginning and the End”....“who is and who was and who is to come, the Almighty.”
Revelation 1:8 NKJV
He existed from eternity past to eternity future. He is Supreme, All-knowing, All-present, All-powerful, and without equal
He is a self-existing God who “created the heaven and the earth in the beginning “ Genesis 1:1
In that same beginning was “the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God” all things were made by Him John 1:1,3
“By the word of the LORD the heavens were made, And all the host of them by the breath of His mouth. Psalms 33:6
For He spoke, and it was done; He commanded, and it stood fast.”
Psalms 33: 9 NKJV
Also, in that same beginning, “the earth was without form and void; and darkness was upon the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters” Genesis 1:2
The same Spirit of the Lord is the Comforter, our Teacher, Advocate, the Spirit of Truth, who dwells with us, and will be in us. John 14:17, 26
In Genesis 3:1 the Devil is the serpent who was more crafty (subtle, skilled in deceit) than any living creature of the field which the LORD God had made.
He is the Evil One skilled in deceiving the Children of God
In 2 Corinthians 4:4a NLT
Satan is the god of this world, who has blinded the minds of those who don’t believe.
In Revelation 12:11-12
He is the great Dragon—ancient Serpent, the one called Devil and Satan, the one who led the whole earth astray.
We are told the Devil is wild and raging with anger because he knows his time Is short
In John 10:10
He is the thief has come to steal, and to kill, and to destroy.
We praise God that Jesus
has come that we may have life and that we may have it more abundantly.
Let’s get our Scripture reading from the Gospel of Luke 4: 1-4
“But Jesus answered him, saying, “It is written, ‘Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word of God.’ ”
Luke 4:4 NKJV
Today’s topic is: “Speak to your Mountain, Tell the Devil to get lost”
I want us to look at the important words --- IT IS WRITTEN
Jesus resisted the devil because
He had the WORD in His heart. He opened His mouth and said: “IT IS WRITTEN”
“So submit to [the authority of] God. Resist the devil [stand firm against him] and he will flee from you.”
James 4:7 AMP
You are entitled tell a mountain “to be lifted up and thrown into the sea (Matthew 17:20)
You could say to this mulberry tree, Be pulled up by the roots, and be planted in the sea, and it would obey you. (Luke 17:6 AMP)
Obstacles as great as mountains will disappear before you
You have been given the power and the authority to declare things into being.
The spoken Word of God is creative in nature. God spoke and everything came into being ---- LET THERE BE…..
“From his abundance, we have all received one gracious blessing after another.”
John 1:16 NLT
God “has blessed us with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly places in Christ,”
Ephesians 1:3 NKJV
“As His divine power has given to us all things that pertain to life and godliness, through the knowledge of Him who called us by glory and virtue,”
II Peter 1:3 NKJV
DO WE REALLY KNOW HIM?
Joshua was instructed to study the Word and meditate upon it.
“This Book of the Law shall not depart from your mouth, but you shall meditate in it day and night, that you may observe to do according to all that is written in it.
For then you will make your way prosperous, and then you will have good success.” Joshua 1:8 NKJV
God had to touch Jeremiah’s mouth to put His Words
“Then the LORD put forth His hand and touched my mouth, and the LORD said to me: “Behold, I have put My words in your mouth.
See, I have this day set you over the nations and over the kingdoms, To root out and to pull down, To destroy and to throw down, To build and to plant.”
Jeremiah 1:9-10 NKJV
By the power of His Word, you can root out and pull down, destroy and throw down all the strongholds of the enemy, the Evil One
You can also build and plant where the enemy has destroyed in Jesus’s name
You have Benefits If the Words of God Abide in you
You are blessed when you fear God and delights greatly in His commandments:
Your descendants will be mighty on earth
Your generation will be blessed.
The light will arise in the darkness
You will never be shaken
You will not be afraid of evil tidings or bad news
Psalms 112:1-7 NKJV
The Words of God give us “strength in all our troubles; they refresh and revive us!”
Psalm 119:50 TLB
When you are guided by the Word of God: You “will not be overcome by evil.” Psalm 119:133 TLB
The commandments of God comfort you in your distress and anguish. Psalm 119:143 TLB
Those who love your laws have great peace of heart and mind and do not stumble. Psalm 119:165 TLB
“If you abide in Me, and My words abide in you, you will ask what you desire, and it shall be done for you.” John 15:7 NKJV
Conclusion
We need to be armed with the Armor of God
In Psalms 91:4c we learn that:
His faithful promises are your armour.
“For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal but mighty in God for pulling down strongholds,”
II Corinthians 10:4-5 NKJV
“For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this age, against spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places.” Ephesians 6:12 NKJV
“Therefore take up the whole armor of God, that you may be able to withstand in the evil day,
Then you will be able to take a stand during these evil days. Once you have overcome all obstacles, you will be able to stand your ground.”
“And take THE HELMET OF SALVATION, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the Word of God.”
Ephesians 6: 13, 17 NKJV/GW/ AMP
THE WORD OF GOD IS FIRE
Therefore thus says the Lord God of hosts: “Because you speak this word, Behold, I will make My words in your mouth fire, And this people wood, And it shall devour them. (Jeremiah 5:14 NKJV)
“ Is not My word like a fire?” says the Lord, “And like a hammer that breaks the rock in pieces?
Jeremiah 23:29 NKJV
“And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of their testimony, and they did not love their lives to the death.”

RECEIVE JESUS AS LORD AND SAVIOR
